Details

True to its title, Meryanne Loum-Martin’s book immerses readers in the eclectic style of Marrakesh, showcasing its versatility for diverse settings and tastes, from rustic and eco-friendly to sophisticated and luxurious. It also focuses on the origins of Marrakesh’s design fame, highlighting how global designers have incorporated Moroccan aesthetics into their creations through metalwork, zellige tilework, pottery, and tadelakt wall treatments.

Editors’ Note

Meryanne Loum-Martin, owner of the award-winning Jnane Tamsna boutique hotel in Marrakesh's Palmeraie district, is a writer and designer renowned for her perseverance and patience in creating lush, well-arranged interior and exterior atmospheres, aided by her botanist husband. A self-taught architect and interior designer, she shared in a Quintessence interview, “My design philosophy is a reflection of who I am. I have traveled the world very young and also alone because I love traveling alone, discovering things at my own pace.” Her inspiration comes from the people she has met and the many extraordinary homes she has visited around the globe.
