Reclaiming My Time features work by contemporary Black designers that engages ideas about cultural heritage, bodies at rest, and histories of labor and leisure. Curated by Michelle Joan Wilkinson, the ongoing exhibit features selections from the museum’s growing collection of seating design, and highlights the importance of taking time for rest and restoration. Our award-winning book, AphroChic: Celebrating the Legacy of the Black Family Home is included, and can be found at the NMAAHC museum store as well.
