AphroChic has collaborated with Moroccan lighting brand Dounia Home to create the Amur Table Lamp. Handmade in Morocco, this artisan lamp blends the centuries-old technique of creating pierced metal lanterns with modern lighting aesthetics. The perforated shade allows precision control of the amount of light in a space. It's met with a brutalist base, a reflection of the brutalist architecture that was part of the Afro Modernism architectural movement on the Continent in the 1960s and 70s. The Amur Table Lamp has been recognized in House Beautiful, Furniture Lighting and Decor, and at High Point Market for its notable design, and was awarded Best in Market by NY NOW in 2022.

Dounia Home handcrafts modern lighting and home décor inspired by Moroccan culture. They use eco-friendly and biodegradable materials, and their artisan workers receive 30% above-market wages. Their collection includes table lamps, and sconces, all designed in a modern Moorish style.
